Mr. Hassan Ahmad Fareed (Pakistan)

Mr. Hassan Ahmad Fareed is a distinguished social development specialist with over 20 years of extensive experience in the social services sector. His expertise spans various domains, notably encompassing program planning, management, and implementation, particularly in emergency response, flood recovery, and rehabilitation. With a focus on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives and Behavioral Change Communication (BCC), Mr. Fareed has contributed significantly to projects led by prominent UN agencies such as UN-Habitat, UNDP, UNICEF, Rural Support Programme Network (RSPN), International Rescue Committee, National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), Nutrition International, Oxfam -Novib, Save the Children, USAID and UKAID and Plan-Pakistan.

Throughout his career, Mr. Fareed has demonstrated proficiency in project management and implementation, adeptly handling reports, research-based activities, and surveys. His notable achievements include spearheading integrated emergency nutrition and livelihood assistance programs for flood-affected communities, as well as orchestrating comprehensive emergency WASH, health, nutrition, and cash assistance initiatives. He has also played a pivotal role in providing humanitarian support to Afghan refugees and host populations in Pakistan, along with fortifying disaster preparedness systems in the region.
